Quite a number of people asked me what they need to prepare in order to get started with an agency and more specifically the administration and support services team at Cml Offshore Recruitment. I thought I would cover as much as I can here for all you internet surfers so you can be fully equiped for your search.

So at this point you have decided that you want a professional to guide you through your job hunt, and will need to get in contact with the Cml team. You can give us a call directly 1 (345) 949 1345, register your cv on our website or apply for a specific role..

Following this you will be contacted and Cml will ask you to attend a meeting with one of our consultants. We will confidentially discuss your cv, work history and work together on an action plan of how and who we will contact in order to secure the perfect position for you. If you are already living in Cayman the best way to be prepared for this interview and for the interviews with companies later on is to already have the following information:

  • An up to date CV/Resume containing;
  • All your work history, including the dates, brief description of your duties.
  • Your education to date including those courses you are currently studying
  • Your skills, computer systems and packages you have used, typing speeds or any skills that may make you stand out in the crowd.
  • Employment references from your past employers
  • Police Clearance Certificate – this can be obtained from the local police station and usually takes around 24 hours before it’s ready for pick up.
  • It is also helpful to have information ready to discuss with your Cml consultant. Examples can be information on your past salary, reasons for leaving your last position and notes about what you really enjoyed or didn’t like in previous roles.

I hope this gives you a little insight of what to expect and ultimately help you along the way to your next career move. I look forward to meeting you in the near future.
